I know I promised to finish the watermarking tool by today but something came up - so I postponed it until tomorrow. I hope I’ll make it. I already have a few good feature ideas, including inverting watermarks when the background is too bright. We’ll see how it goes. =)

Until then, I’ll post one picture from a test session I had with a friend, Petra. I wanted to try something with the flash and the sunset. It didn’t work that well … But I did manage to get her to pose a few fun shots before we had to go =). Here’s one I really like.

p.s.: my best friend started blogging - i’m sure he’ll appriciate the visits. Personally, I wish him a lot of quality posts and good comments!

Zucchero

Just a quick intermezzo post, from yesterday’s excellent concert - Zucchero. I have more, and I’ll post them as soon as I finish studying for my exams and finish my watermarking tool :-). Because I really don’t like the color losses right now. I still have to post pictures from Ritem mladosti and from a quick, test session with a friend. Tomorrow & the day after, I promise.

Jan Plestenjak

On thursday, I was at Jan Plestenjak’s concert in Križanke. The full report is here. He performed with the symphonic orchestra. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised over the quality of the music and the sound of the orchestra. Compared to some other bands, who played with the orchestra, it could actually be heard.

Anja, part I

Today, I had a session with my girlfriend’s friend very good friend :-). I have a lot of pics that I like, but I’ll start by posting the first few - the black&white series. These are more snapshots… but I like them :-).

Tomorrow, I’ll post the color ones. These pictures are all from Jože Pučnik airport. They were shot at ISO 800, the first one at 18 mm F/3.5 with my 18-200, and the second and third, with my 50 mm F/1.8.

Hope you like it.

Nude, girls and bodypaint

Now this is a blog title that should roll in visits huh? Well, it’s true. But it talks about the band Nude, not Nude girls.  Anyway, I still have a lot of work to do, to process the images and to submit them to the competition. We’ll see how that goes. Until then, just a few quick photos.

These are just a few, I took a lot more. But like I said, after I’m done, I’ll post a gallery. Maybe just a quick info, the Nude pics, and the one with the hand, were taken with the 50 mm / 1.8, which I cannot emphasise enough how much I love. Everything else, with my 18-200. The fire throwing was (accidentally) shot at ISO 2000. I still can’t believe it came out like it did. More luck than brains…

The pictures detailing the more important part of the event are coming, I promise.

ELLE Photoshoot - Part 2

I promised in my previous post that I will post more pictures. And a promise is a promise. The photos are located at the gallery.

As you can tell, I’ve been toying with the pictures a little bit. But it’s all for a purpose. Not every picture has the same effect. The reason for this being, that I wanted to play around a little bit. I wanted to see what works, and what doesn’t in what situation with a model that has perfect make-up, posture, and all those things that can be perfect.

Disclaimer: I think my girlfirend is perfect everytime she smiles at me or my camera, however the perfect I’m reffering to in the above context is the perfect that is expected from glamour magazines.

Right, so that’s why there’s so many effects =). Comments appriciated.

Zbiljska noč (Zbilje night?)

I’m not sure how to translate it properly, but ok. It was a night at the Zbilje lake, with a concert =). The band I really wanted to see were Pop Design. I like their style of music, it reminds me of 80’s rock, as that’s exactly what it is. Although Jan Plestenjak wasn’t half bad. Anyway, the lighthning wasn’t bad, and the ambience was amazing, particulary the involvement of the audience. There were about 20 000 people according to the organizers. They sang through most of the songs from both of the above mentioned bands (and some songs from Saška Lendero).

During the performance of Pop Design the band really got “live”. First the bassist (Tone Košmrlj), jumed off the stage and gave out flyers to the crowd. Then the vocalist (Miran Rudan) sang with the audience and gave the microhone to the crows. All in all, it was a fun night.

Ok, maybe a bit a lot of the pictures, but I really like them so I decided to show them. The last two are interesting as they were taken hand held, on ISO 800, 1/10 and F/7.
