the fallen angel

I’ve waited a long time hoping to be able to post this, and finally, the time is here.

A while ago, Petra and myself took a friend of mine for a photo-shoot down to the Slovenian coast. It was a really sunny day, but most of all it was a hot day. Thanks to Samo’s reflector, our girl was even more hot, in more ways than one.

Ana @ NTK 2008

At the NT conference in Portorož, an opportunity arose to take some photographs :-). Not being a guy to shy away from such chances I borrowed a friend’s Pentax K10D :-). Alongside Had, we tortured photographed Ana Papež.

There were a couple more shoots I want to post, but I’m a bit busy with everything…

Skisova trznica 2008 @ Ilirija, Ljubljana

A couple weeks ago, the largest student “party” event took place - Škisova tržnica. Apart from the really bad organization as far as photography is concerned, and the fact that I don’t like these types of mass events, the whole experience was interesting. Tiring, but interesting.

No, this photo is not photoshoped. It’s directly from the camera, with a slight adjustment of exposure.

Graduation parade 2008 @ Ljubljana

Yesterday, we witnessed another attempt at the world record for the largest synchronized Quadrille dance performed to the music of Die Fledermaus (The Bat or literally, The Flutter-mouse), a comic operetta composed by Johann Strauss II.

Preliminary indications show the record was broken — there were around 27.000 dancers in a couple of countries among which Slovenia is leading the way. There were about 36 cities participating around the ex-Yugoslavia area.

And after the parade itself, the “party” and drinking continued over at Gospodarsko razstaviše.

A blogger friend of mine was also there, here are Petra’s photos.

Center of Ljubljana, take two

Last weekend was a really nice one, the weather was quite ok. Unfortunately I didn’t have a lot of time due to a project I’m working on. But hey, you need to breathe a little. So, together with Petra, we went for a photo-hunt to the center of town.

Barcelona

Finally, some time to post pictures to my blog. I have a few posts planned, it’s been a while since my last one. Anyway, in the mean time, I’ve been in Barcelona for a business trip (a conference). I’ve had a little free time between the lectures and the weather was really nice (25°C) so I took the opportunity and took my camera with me.

Photographing the photographers

Yesterday, I wanted to take a couple of shots of people taking pictures of people :). I wish I took more time. I’ll probably repeat the experience as soon as I get another chance.

Out in the street…

Today, after a rough night, I went out fairly early. I wanted to buy a guitar, but unfortunately didn’t find any that would suit me. Afterwards I decided to take a walk across Ljubljana. Try my hand in street photography.

the overwhelming excitement

At Seka’s concert in Ljubljana, during the warm-up bands, the excitement in the public was overwhelming… people were screaming and shouting… or maybe not :)
