The adrenalin is still flowing, the show was amazing, the energy extreme. The Scorpions played the Berlin O2 arena and I got the change to cover the event for Delo. Scorpions, for those of you who don’t know them, are a German heavy-metal/hard-rock band with first commercial success reaching to the 80s. Check out the Read more link below.
As noted in a post before this one, the 42 tour started, by the Slovenian group TABU. On the concert I had access to the stage, and I had the opportunity to take photos from a completely different angle than usual.
And so it started, the 42 tour of Slovenian group TABU. And in all honestly, it started with a bang! The concert/show was excellent. The crowd was amazing, and the venue was sold-out. The guys and girls of the band and the extended members performed well, even though there were a few small hick-ups. They are more at home at intimate shows if you ask me… Anyway, read more, to get the full story.
In keeping with my promise, I’m posting the events from last year that I was present. Well, one of them was the release of Tabu’s new album – 42. This has got to be one of the best music albums lately.
Another trip to Udine – this time to see alternative rockers Coldplay (article at Delo.si). To be honest, I expected a lot from the guys. Being a world famous band that existed for a while now, I thought they’ll make a good show – a spectacle in a sense. Well, I was disappointed.
The much anticipated, twice sold-out show (two dates were announced for Zagreb due to overwhelming interest) – over 120.000 tickets sold, is over. A bitter sweet experience for me personally (unfortunately), but besides that, an awesome spectacle. In my opinion though, not so much of a performance. Definitely nothing like Bruce Springsteen’s show in Udine. Hit the read link for more pictures.
A Croatian reporter wrote that if there is a god, his name is Bruce. There were signs in the audience, saying: “Bruce almighty”. And I agree. Bruce & The E-street band rocked Udine’s stage at Stadio Friuli.
… to make an interesting picture :-). Well, as it turns out, 4 is a good approximation. After a whole night of Company Party (AGB Lab’s annual New Year’s party) our photography group decided to meet at 7 AM in Sečovlje Soline. I was up all night, so I didn’t have a lot of energy to try all the stuff I wanted to, and the weather wasn’t all we wanted it to be.
Finally, some time to post something new to the blog. I’ve been less active here for a while, but it’s because I haven’t been to a lot of concerts lately. I just didn’t have the time.
A couple weeks ago, there was a concert at Vransko. The concert was named Vransko Summer Night, and we witnessed performances by Big Foot Mama, Pankrti and finally, Tabu.
Yes, I’ve finally got enough time to write something to my blog again. There have been a number of interesting developments in my life recently, one of which is that I no longer work at eCTRL. My future plans will be revealed at the end of August, but I’m excited. Very excited :-).
There are a lot of things I have on my queue right now (photography wise), but I’ve decided to start with Alya. I’ve been to her concert in Porotorož. As with other concerts in the Avditorij this year (Gušti in Polona, Hladno Pivo and Leeloojamais), there were about 20 people present. Really a shame, as Alya showed she still has it.
This is a blog of a programmer/software architect, who also wants to be a photographer. I try to combine my two passions although it's photography that seems to be winning...
