Memorables of 2007

As is custom, I would like to add my wishes and thoughts. I would like to wish you happiness, health, success but most of that, which you want and need the most. I wish you find those little moments of happiness, the moments that define our lives, and spend them with people who you care most about. Of course, I also wish you a new year full of such moments and full of the same people you care about. So again, have a happy new year. And many more!

The year 2007 is coming to an end. For me personally, the year was full of things I’ll want to remember for ever. It was full of moments that I want to keep and treasure. Unfortunately there were some events I would have changed, but none that I regret.

After doing some thinking on how I can describe the moments that meant the most to me, I decided on putting together a collage of pictures representing people, events, and memories of these moments. Each picture in the collage has a special meaning to me, and something nice related to it!

I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank all of my friends who lived the year with me. And all of you guys who keep reading my blog. Here’s to hoping many more years will come.

Wordpress 2.3.1

I’ve upgraded my blog to the new Wordpress platform, version 2.3.1. The upgrade process was fairly seamless. The only thing I needed to change was my custom template, where I’ve used Jerome’s Tags — this plug-in is no longer supported since tag support is built in.

However, there might be some problems here and there, and I’d really appreciate it if you guys could comment here if you get an error. Thanks!

I’m addicted to blogging

Following Marko Pirc’s link, I tested to see if I’m addicted.

eighthundred

After browsing the web today, I came across something really brilliant — a really nice idea. At least in my opinion.

The project is called eighthundred. I’ve come across the project by browsing Peter Carr’s photo blog and I’m really fascinated by it :). I don’t know if it has been done before or not, but to me, it sounds interesting.

I’m inspired :), but I’ll see what I can come up with (photo wise, not idea wise :) ).

I was reminded however, of a couple of photos I did a while ago, after the Cosmopolitan’s run in heels. The portraits after the main part, were to me something “special” — I think they have a story behind them… or am I the only one to see it? :)

Here’s a repost of a few.

Cosmpolitan’s run in high heels

Yesterday was a busy day for me. It started with going to the Cosmopolitan’s Run in high heels. As far as the event goes it was interesting, but Adriamedia could have done better! In particular, the run itself should have been the tip of the iceberg, not the first thing at exactly 11 o’clock. Then there was lightning… They tried to have a photographic competition, but at that time, towards the sun it was hillarious =). And the asfalt didn’t help with reflections. Anyway, my gallery is here. Then there were the Quads. In front of the runners were two quad bikes… great for the video but very bad for the rest of us.

The winner was Cita Cvirn. Although she wore high heels only for the second time in her life (”Allegedly, allegedly”), she took the rest of the runners by storm with a time of about 18 seconds. But, she’s a professional mountain runner and she ran must of the track on her toes. The video is here.

Remember, my gallery is here.

After the run came the highlight of the day. Alenka from Adriamedia suggested we go for coffee. Obviously neither Jan, Petra nor I argued with her =). So we joined Had, Davorin, Tamala, Gregor

Alongside our drinks & lots of water for the Em3r10 team, we had a discussion about what we expect next year:

  • Men’s health should organize a men’s run in high heels — see who has the balls :-)
  • Playboy should organize a topless run [can also be in high heels, but not a requirement]

Also present at the run (that I know of right now) were Nergač, MatejMM, Irena and Marta… [If I forgot anyone, let me know, please!]

Bloggers Unite!

As Had mentioned on his blog in the post about citizen’s journalism, there was a lot of it after the floods. There were mentions of the disaster at Svetlobne iluzije, Petrov plac, Foto Olki, Krtina, Uroš Gruber, Thinternet

After it all, Uroš Gruber got a really good idea of helping out the people who were affected. After some swift action, this page was born. If you can, help out ;-).

Poplave 2007

Under construction

I’ve started updating the looks of the blog. This means I’ll be adding a few things too. In the mean time, at some point I’m sure the website will look a bit distroted. I’m sorry ’bout that. I’ll try to do it as fast as I can and as best as I can. In the mean time, I’d appriciate any comments you may have.

Construction-1
The above pictures is something I’ve shot immediately after Pink’s concert. When the roads were already jammed these guys started painting the road… it was hillarious :).

A very imporTant day

Today is a very important day. For one, Nikon has published details about two new cameras, the D3 and the D300.

The pictures are copyright Dpreview.com.

Another milestone is the migration of my blog. Instead of wasting time and effort to develop a new version of my website, I will keep it constantly updated with a blog. I have a good plan to develop a portfolio etc., but I will only make it public when I have the time to perfect it.

Right, so… hope to see more of you again :)
