After seeing it for the first time in Had’s blog post, I decided to try a couple of my photos as well. Although with the lack of time, that was quite literally a couple :).
Anyway, here they are, in a much shorter post than what I usually churn out.
In keeping with my promise, I’m posting the events from last year that I was present. Well, one of them was the release of Tabu’s new album – 42. This has got to be one of the best music albums lately.
It’s been a hell of a long time since I’ve posted anything on the blog. I’ve been busy, yes, trying to manage work, a start-up, and personal projects, but I’ve also been photographing. I just didn’t find the time to post anything.
However, today I have decided to restart. I’ll be posting much more this year, and hopefully there will be some memorable concerts again to post.
I’ll be starting this with a concert from last year, a MUSE concert. I’ve shoot them once, in Zagreb three1 years ago!
Another trip to Udine – this time to see alternative rockers Coldplay (article at Delo.si). To be honest, I expected a lot from the guys. Being a world famous band that existed for a while now, I thought they’ll make a good show – a spectacle in a sense. Well, I was disappointed.
The much anticipated, twice sold-out show (two dates were announced for Zagreb due to overwhelming interest) – over 120.000 tickets sold, is over. A bitter sweet experience for me personally (unfortunately), but besides that, an awesome spectacle. In my opinion though, not so much of a performance. Definitely nothing like Bruce Springsteen’s show in Udine. Hit the read link for more pictures.
Unlike most other posts, this one isn’t dedicated to music. It isn’t dedicated to programming either. It’s just a mundane post about a few recent events in my “life” here on Earth :-). But I had my camera with me to document the few moments.
A Croatian reporter wrote that if there is a god, his name is Bruce. There were signs in the audience, saying: “Bruce almighty”. And I agree. Bruce & The E-street band rocked Udine’s stage at Stadio Friuli.
Holly crap, what a weekend!! First, company party on friday, then early morning rehearsal in Ljubljana, and at the evening, the night at the beach event in Izola. At the event, we heard two rocking bands, TABU (Vransko 09, Vransko 08, Capris Open Air) and Big Foot Mama (Best Union, Škisova tržnica, Graduation parade).
After evading me the last time in Bratislava – the day I came, it was pouring rain like it was judgment day and the concert was postponed to the next day, I finally managed to get the opportunity to photograph one of the world’s top guitarists, Mr. Carlos Santana.
A whole year has passed since, well, last year’s Vransko Summer Night. Interestingly enough, the line-up was similar to last year’s but that wasn’t a problem. Tabu rocked the night, as they usually do. Šank Rock were rocking as well, and I was quite impressed with Legalo Kriminalo, although to be honest, I did only hear a couple songs towards the end. Interesting, although probably a bit too heavy sounding for this event.
This is a blog of a programmer/software architect, who also wants to be a photographer. I try to combine my two passions although it's photography that seems to be winning...
